For my CJ… A nightstand clock: simplicity is often preferred!
Simply providing the ability to see the time without any bright or stimulating graphics. One can dim the text/numbers as well as change the colors. Of course, one has a wide selection of sounds hosted from Apple’s repository of alerts.
The Interface
Tapping the clock in the bottom left brings a dialog enabling you to change the color, brightness, time of the alarm and turn
the alarm on or off. The alarm clock icon changes to solid and blinks when the alarm is on. Also, the time for the alarm is shown above the alarm clock icon.
Once the alarm goes off, if you select “Snooze”, a button between the alarm clock and music notes icons will appear with the snooze time counting down from 10 minutes. Tapping this button allows you to interrrupt the snooze timer and begin your day (or roll over and sleep without an alarm <smiles>.
Tapping the musical notes in the bottom right brings a dialog enabling you to change the tone.
When the alarm sounds, you can simply turn it off or tap snooze to sleep an additional 10 minutes.

NOTES :
Universal : The iPad “version” is intended to provide the exact same interface, but to run “native” on the iPad. The advantage is, well, I’m not sure anyone would want this; I am anxious to learn if there are use cases for iPad. If so, I would expect there might be a desire to increase text/number size. Please contact me if so…
IMPORTANT: The sound/alarm does not play if the device is in “SILENT MODE”… the switch on the side!
